Here’s what I did:

I took a large ziplock bag and filled it half way with white vinegar. I put the bag over the shower head making sure that its front was entirely dipped in the vinegar. I tied hair elastic around it to hold it in place and decided to leave it on for a while, thinking it could stay like this for the entire day just to make sure it works properly. However, things didn’t go as planned and I had to take it off after an hour or two, thinking I’m going to have to repeat the procedure once more. Imagine my surprise when I turned on the shower and everything was working excellent. I took off the bag and voila, I had a brand new shower. Unbelievable! No scrubbing and just like that it was working perfectly after just an hour. If yours is pretty clogged you might need to scrub a bit around the holes to get all the mineral deposits out, but mine was in a pretty bad shape and everything worked fine without scrubbing.

I can’t describe how satisfied I was with my little experiment and I have the feeling that I’m going to use this method quite often from now on. The part I like the most is that it’s completely toxins-free, all natural ingredients that can’t do anyone any harm.
