Police Notice Kids In The Shape Of An Arrow On A Field. What They Are Doing Is Genius! (VIDEO)

Like something out of a children’s adventure novel, a group of crime-busting youngsters from Surrey, England, used their wit and creativity to help police catch two burglary suspects. Their actions have earned them the title “The Tremendous Twelve”. It all started when the children were hunting Easter eggs to raise money for a child with leukemia.

The children’s cause  is commendable enough on its own,  but what happened next is nothing short of remarkable.

A helicopter soon joined their ranks and the people inside of it were taking part in a hunt of a different kind. At first, the helicopter served as mere entertainment for children and families present, but it didn’t take them long to realize they were in the midst of a police chase.

“It was really noisy and we could see it said ‘police’ on the bottom,” said one of the girls involved. “Then we saw a man running along the side of the field. We could see him but the helicopter couldn’t because it was hovering over the woods.”

 

The helicopter had been called by Surrey police following a report of burglars at an abandoned building.  The man ran into the woods, but the children noticed the helicopter was pointing in the opposite direction.

In a moment of ingenuity, the children gathered together in the open field and formed, with their bodies, an arrow, directing the police towards the suspect.

At first, police dismissed the arrow as kids having a laugh, but they thought better of it and followed the arrow. Within minutes they caught the two suspects.

Another child explained what happened next. “About five minutes later, the helicopter came back and landed in the field to talk to us. They said they thought we were messing around at first, but they followed our arrow and caught the men. We feel really proud of what we did.”
