Have you ever noticed the small loop at the back of some men shirts?
Well, this loop used to have a special purpose in the past. Namely, long ago, people didn`t have wardrobe with rods and hangers, and all their clothes were stored on pegs or hooks.
Although small, this loop was extremely handy and was used to hang a shirt without getting wrinkled.
This loop was initially used by East Coast sailors who used to hang their shirts on ship hooks when changing. Soon, the detail found its way from the ships to the streets. The trend started with the US made Oxford button down shirts in the 1960′s.
