A recent study conducted by Longhorn Cattle Company has shocked the world. It has been found that energy drinks contain an ingredient extracted from bull urine and semen. The scientists tested some of the top selling energy drink brands, including Red Bull, Monster etc.

Taurine is the ingredient named after the Latin Taurus, which means bull. Taurine was first isolated from ox bile in 1827 by the Australian scientists Leopold Gmelon and Friedrich Tiedemann. It is classified as an amino acid, but it lacks a carboxyl group. Taurine is normally found in bulls` semen, livers and urine.

Disgusting but true. Taurine is a common ingredient in the energy drinks and it is a byproduct of bull testicles.
